All nucs have a laying queen, eggs and brood, pollen, nectar and honey on 5 deep frames to get you started.
My colonies overwinter in Hopkins and Byron Center, MI.
I use Mel Disselkoen’s OTS method to rear my queens.

Nucs with MI queens mated July 2025 will be available early May 2026 and NUCs with queens mated May of 2026 will be available late May or early June.
Each nucleus colony includes the queen and her bees at least two frames of brood plus frames with honey, pollen and drawn comb, totaling 5 frames.
Nucs come in a vented Nuc box for easy transport.
I am flexible with pick up times.
My bees stay in Southwestern Michigan year round and I rear my own queens from overwintered Michigan stock.

Landowners seeking a beekeeper interested in placing hives on our 70-acre property (50 acres wooded, 20 acres grassland). The land has never been farmed and is free of herbicides and pesticides. The property includes a one-acre, 18-foot-deep pond and was formerly a private hunting preserve.
A secluded grassy field near the pond—surrounded by woods on three sides—offers an ideal, sheltered location for several hives.
